In addition, Victory has posted a link on its V2E site (www.moneywhereourmouthis.com) that allows industry members to access, for the first time, a single web address where they can find every rebate available nationwide for the purchase of ENERGY STAR-certified equipment. AFE and company President Mark Whalen, Victory's Director of Engineering and Technical Support Jeff Bauman and Victory's Manufacturing Engineer and Safety Manager John McGill represented Victory at the ENERGY STAR awards presentation. The Victory executives and other award winners were acknowledged in welcoming speeches by Secretary of Energy Samuel Bodman, EPA Administrator Stephen Johnson and Director of EPA's Climate Protection Partnership division Kathleen Hogan. These officials cited the contributions that products from environmentally responsible manufacturers such as Victory, are making to reduce energy use, fossil-fuel consumption and greenhouse-gas emissions. Whalen accepted Victory's Partner of the Year award on behalf of colleagues and reaffirmed Aga's commitment to gaining ENERGY STAR certification for a growing number of models across product lines, both to help end-users cut energy costs and to improve kitchens' environmental performance. Whalen added that Victory, which produces more models of ENERGY STAR-certified refrigeration equipment than any other manufacturer in the category, is the first foodservice equipment maker ever to be named a Partner of the Year in ENERGY STAR's 14-year history. "We believe that producing energy efficient equipment that reduces consumption of fossil fuels and water, that cool or heat foods more quickly than traditional models and perform longer with less maintenance, is good for our customers and industry, as well as our social responsibility," Whalen told the more than 600 officials, honorees and guests who attended the ENERGY STAR banquet in the Omni-Shoreham. "It makes us proud that ENERGY STAR has chosen a Victory for the planet." To further its ENERGY STAR partnership, and make it easier for end-users and specifiers to access the rebates that municipalities, states and utility agencies are now increasingly making available, Victory has enhanced its www.moneywhereourmouthis.com site to provide instructions on how to use ENERGY STAR's new Rebate Finder, as well as a handy link to it. Aga Foodservice Equipment is also now looking for ways its companies can work directly with ENERGY STAR and operators to make efficiency rebates easier and faster to receive. |
