Cherry Hill, NJ, October 2007 - Eloma, an Aga Foodservice Equipment company, has launched its first web site designed specifically for North America. The site, which is going live in conjunction with this month's NAFEM Show, offers easily accessible technical specifications, data on product features and functions, and contact information for the U.S. market, information that was previously not available online. The new site is located at www.elomausa.com. According to Mark Whalen, president of Aga Foodservice Equipment, Eloma's previous online presence was an English translation of the manufacturer's German-language site-a reflection of the company's roots in that country. "All the technical information, product specs and certifications on that site were for the European market, so a change was obviously in order. With this new site, consultants, operators, dealers and reps can access information for our own market quickly and easily," he said. Indeed, www.elomausa.com is designed to allow users to find information on Eloma's product lines-the Genius T and the recently introduced Multimax B and Joker lines-directly from the home page. From there, site visitors can gain access to spec sheets and technical manuals simply by registering a valid e-mail address with the company. In addition to making product information readily accessible, Eloma's new site offers online resources and cooking tips for its combi ovens, such as optimum cook times and the best combinations of dry and steam heat for producing a wide array of foods. "Among the Eloma site's more interesting new features is a Flash presentation of a live Genius T cooking-demonstration, the first of what will probably be several animated presentations on the use of Eloma combis," noted Bill Pagano, vice president of strategic marketing firm Axis-M, which directed and implemented the creation of the new site. "Eloma is the kind of product, as AFE Corporate Chef Mike Nicholson has stated, that you sell by demonstrating. It's a highly engineered, hands-on product that is hard to sell with just a spec sheet," Whalen added. "That's why we are opening the site with the first of what we expect to be several product demonstrations featuring Chef Nicholson. By accessing the new site, all our channel partners can view the chef cooking with an Eloma combi, cleaning it and demonstrating how its various cooking modes work with different foods. This helps demonstrate the features and advantages of Eloma's models and combi cooking in general." Other user-friendly features of Eloma's new site include the addition of contact information for individuals in the Eloma organization who can answer technical, cooking or warranty questions, as well as an e-mail link that lets users find out about the times and locations of upcoming combi cooking demonstrations. Additional features for the site are in the works, Pagano noted. In 2008, Eloma plans to put in place a reps-only site section with information on product changes, promotions and sales, as well as e-commerce functions implemented in coordination with selected dealer partners. The launch of www.elomausa.com is AFE's second major online initiative of 2007. In March, the company launched a redesigned site for Victory Refrigeration. Later this year, Stellar Steam will have its new site up and running, and, in 2008, AFE will launch a portal site for all its brands. |
