Victory To Relaunch Web Site

As part of its ongoing effort to communicate information about its products and services more efficiently to channel partners and end-users, Victory Refrigeration is currently reorganizing and redesigning its main web site, www.victory-refrig.com.

The site redevelopment, which began earlier this summer, will include easier and more logical access to Victory product lines and individual models, as well as technical manuals, spec sheets and end-user guides. Site users will also be able to select more quickly among Victory's online support services, find energy-use comparisons and an energy savings calculator, contact Victory dealers and reps, and subscribe to the Aga Foodservice Equipment eNews monthly e-letter.

"We're undertaking this site redevelopment because we know that the internet represents an important opportunity to serve our customers better," commented Jim Hurston, VP of Sales for Victory. "By updating key content, offering new information and making site navigation more user friendly, we'll begin to provide more reasons for specifiers and operators to select Victory products and continue to make the process of doing business with us more efficient and gratifying."

Mark Whalen, president of Victory and the Aga Foodservice Equipment division, added that the redevelopment of the refrigeration equipment maker's web presence is only the first step in his plans to coordinate the online activities of all AFE companies. "We needed to start by improving Victory's web site, since it represents our flagship company with the best-established product lines and story to tell, including our partnership with ENERGY STAR® and selection as a 2006 Manufacturing Partner of the Year," he pointed out. "However, because we have been growing so quickly through the strategic acquisition of complimentary high-tech companies such as Stellar Steam and Eloma combi ovens, we also need to redevelop and more closely coordinate all of our web sites. This will help us to build a more uniform brand identity on the internet and ensure our sites function according to the values and practices that set us apart from competitors."

Whalen noted that the redeveloped Victory web site, which is expected to be posted in September, will have the capacity to present animated product demonstrations, cooking and educational sessions, and (potentially) e-commerce activities. Once the Victory site is relaunched, the Eloma, Stellar and Infinity sites will be brought into AFE's redevelopment program.

The reorganization and updating of Victory's and all other AFE web sites is being handled by PROSERVICE, a New York City multi-media marketing company with 10 years of experience creating internet-based communication tools for the U.S. foodservice industry. "Our goal in redoing AFE's web sites is to provide designs that allow users to find all the specific information they're looking for as quickly and intuitively as possible, while also communicating the brands' common identity and related value propositions," noted Mitchell Schechter, PROSERVICE's principal.
