Customers Justify Infinity Strategy At NRA

One of the key ways Infinity Fryers works to differentiate its products in the market is through a strategy of promoting the features that separate its models from competing manufacturers' equipment. At the 2007 National Restaurant Association Show, which was held in Chicago from May 19 to May 22, the interest many attendees showed in Infinity justified that approach.
According to Mitch Cohen, vice president of cooking system sales for Infinity Fryers, Stellar Steam and Eloma combi ovens, a high percentage of booth visitors he spoke with have a direct say in the equipment purchasing decisions of large, potential customers.
"In my opinion, traffic at the NRA was up a little this year, and the quality of the attendees was better," he said. "We saw a fair number of chains, dealers and larger end-users. There were fewer bus boys and more decision-makers."
In particular, Infinity's energy efficiency drew attention from attending industry professionals. All of Infinity's units have received ENERGY STARŪ certification, marking them as some of the most energy-efficient gas fryers available today. Among potential customers who inspected Infinity's fryers at NRA, Cohen noted that more displayed a newfound appreciation for the manufacturer's ENERGY STAR recognition.
"Some of the chains that weren't so energy-minded are becoming more so," Cohen advised. "They've put some people in place to look at energy efficiency. Those are some of the people I met with and they loved the efficiency and performance of Infinity's fryers."
Another key feature that earned positive reviews at the show was Infinity's filtration system, according to Cohen. The system is hands-free and does not require kitchen staff to change papers or powders, making Infinity fryers safer to use by eliminating the possibilities of burns or oil spills during the filtration process.
Infinity built its units with features such as a hands-free filtration system and an energy-efficient design believing that the market would be drawn to such differentiations. As Cohen related, potential customers validated that belief several times over during the NRA Show.
