Boosting Name Recognition A Goal At NRA For Infinity

One of the foodservice industry's largest events, the annual National Restaurant Association Show, is set to take place in Chicago from May 19th through 22nd at McCormick Place. With the trade fair just around the corner, Mitch Cohen, vice president of cooking system sales for Infinity Fryers, as well as for Stellar Steam and Eloma combi ovens, has one major objective in mind.

"We need to work on brand recognition," he said. "A lot of people who haven't seen our products before can see them by attending a large show like NRA. Visitors will be able to come to our booth and see our products working."

Indeed, trade shows such as the NRA offer Infinity and the other AFE companies the opportunity to introduce their products and the differentiating features of these equipment pieces to numerous end-users, consultants and dealers. In the case of Infinity, potential customers and channel partners who visit the AFE booth will see demonstrations of the fryers' simplified filtration system. The system, which allows end-users to filter the oil in an Infinity fryer in about three minutes without the use of powder or paper filters, helps increase the life of cooking oil by as much as 100% while reducing fryer downtime and labor expenditures.

Those who visit Infinity at booth #2441 during the show will find more than just product demonstrations, Cohen stressed. The company will also distribute literature on the energy efficiency of its products. All Infinity units, in fact, have received ENERGY STAR® certification from the federal Dept. of Energy and EPA. Most recently, through its AFE parent company, Infinity was recognized as an ENERGY STAR Manufacturer Partner of the Year for 2007.

For end-users, Cohen said, this honor signals that Infinity offers significant savings compared to standard fryers. An Infinity fryer, he stated, reduces operators' natural gas bill by up to $1,200 per year. Visitors to the Infinity booth at the NRA show, Cohen added, can work with the company's sales team to estimate not only gas savings, but also the savings Infinity fryers offer in reduced oil and labor costs -- essentially creating a full life-cycle cost and savings projection.

"If an NRA show attendee is looking at a fryer in our booth, we'll tell that person what he or she can produce with it, how much it will produce and what they can expect in savings versus a conventional piece of equipment," Cohen stated. "Everything will have hard dollars and cents figures attached to it."
