Eloma To Offer Cooking Demos At NY Show

Operators, specifiers and other members of the foodservice industry will have the opportunity to observe - and taste the results from - cooking demonstrations performed by professional chefs on equipment from Eloma combi ovens during the upcoming New York International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show.

According to Mitch Cohen, VP of Cooking System Sales for Stellar and Eloma (as well as Infinity fryers), live cooking demonstrations will be presented throughout each day during the show, which runs from November 11 to November 14 at NYC's Jacob Javits Convention Center.

"From the Stellar side, we'll be exhibiting a live bolilerless Capella model," Cohen commented. "We'll also have two boilerless Sirius units, a gas and an electric, which will be off-line so our booth visitors can become more familiar with the unsurpassed cooking performance, energy and water savings, and greater reliability and ease of maintenance Stellar steamers can provide."

Cohen added that Eloma, the newest member of the Aga Foodservice Equipment division, is bringing an array of its high-tech boilerless combi ovens to the Nerw York Show. On display will be a pair of operational model 10-11 compact boilerless combis, with which chefs will be preparing everything from steamed vegetables to delicate baked goods. Eloma will also disply a narrow-footprint 12-11 unit and the company's famous "Blue Wonder." "The Blue Wonder is a cut-away Eloma 10-11 that uses sequential interior blue-tinted lighting to demonstrate the operation of our combis' self-cleaning system," he related. "Attendees at recent trade shows have stopped in the aisles to watch the Blue Wonder, which gives us a chance to offer them more information about Eloma combis' rapid and precisely controlled cooking operations and simplicity of used and maintenance."

Stellar and Eloma boilerless equipment will be on view -- and in operation -- at the Aga Foodservice Equipment booth, #1438, during the New York Show. Products will be prepared in Eloma combi ovens by consulting chef Mike Nicholson and Eloma (Germany) corporate chef Vincent Van Delft.
