Aga  AGA Foodservice Equipment A Leading Draw At New York Show

Aga Foodservice Equipment (AFE) successfully exhibited products from all four of its major brands at 2006's final U.S. tradeshow, the International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show in New York City, on November 12 through 14. This year's New York Show attracted some 45,000 attendees and over 1,500 exhibitors.

AFE executives and managers were able to meet with current and potential customers who came to the booth to learn more about the benefits of products from Victory Refrigeration, Stellar Steam, Infinity Fryers and the newest member of the Aga Foodservice family, Eloma combi ovens.

Victory Refrigeration

Attendees Recognize
Victory's Value At
New York Show

Perhaps the only aspect of the recent New York International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show more pleasing to Victory Refrigeration President Mark Whalen than the volume and quality of event attendees was the recognition given to his company's products.

"This was the best show for exhibitors since 9-11, as attendance and booth traffic was as strong as I've ever seen them on both of the event's main days," remarked Whalen, who leads the Aga Foodservice Equipment division, as well as Victory. "What I liked best, though, was the interest show-goers demonstrated in Victory's product line, especially our blast chillers, and our V2E commitment to energy savings, reliable performance and competitively lower life-cycle costs."

New York Show-Goers Flock To Infinity Fryers

Attendees at the November 12th through 14th New York International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show were much in evidence at many fryer-makers' booths, but no products drew a more enthusiastic response than the equipment displayed by Infinity. Noted Mitch Cohen, VP of Cooking System Sales for Infinity (and Stellar and Eloma), "Many operators and specifiers told us that they had looked at quite a few different fryers at the New York Show, but once they compared features and performance with our products, Infinity was their number one choice."

Cohen added that New York Show attendees related that they were most impressed with Infinity fryers' category-leading energy and oil savings, simplicity of operation, cooking speed and easy filtration. "Having a dedicated fryer in the booth that we used to demonstrate our filtering system helped everyone who came to our display understand how Infinity filters their frying media safely, without powders or papers, in under three minutes," he commented. "This demonstration also helped us to explain that easy filtration can extend oil life, improve fried foods taste and quality and reduce the presence of trans-fats."

Eloma Combis And Stellar Steam Raise Market Profile At New York Show

With more and more foodservice operators, restaurateurs and specifying designers becoming cognizant of the manifold advantages of boilerless steam-cooking technology, Eloma combi ovens and Stellar steamers generated unprecedented interest among attendees at New York International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show, which was held from November 12th through 14th.

According to Mitch Cohen, VP of Cooking System Sales for Stellar and Eloma (as well as Infinity Fryers), live cooking demonstrations perfomed with Eloma boilerless combis by corporate chefs from Aga Foodservice Equipment helped to draw large groups of show-goers to the AFE booth. Once there, however, many attendees took the opportunity to discover more about Eloma combis' and Stellar steamers' advanced boilerless designs and resource-reducing technologies. "Our chefs used an Eloma Genius 10-11 to prepare 10 pans at a time of everything from entrees to baked goods," Cohen remarked, "which drew a lot of attention to our ovens' unsurpassed cooking speed and ease of use."
