Aga  NRA 2006 Creates Positive Momentum For All AFE Brands

Citing increased floor traffic and the presence of a greater percentage of qualified - and interested - equipment buyers, Mark Whalen, president of the Aga Foodservice Equipment division and Victory Refrigeration, described the recent NRA Show as "a solid step forward" for Victory, Infinity, Stellar steamers and Eloma combi ovens.

"We were very pleased by the volume and caliber of the attendees we received in our booth throughout the show, and the interest operators from chain and noncommercial markets showed in our products, resource-saving technologies and category-leading warranty coverage," he remarked. "We were also able to use the show to meet with current and prospective reps for all of our brands, which helped us move forward with developing national representation for each of our companies' lines."

Victory Blast Chillers A 'Center' Of Attention During NRA 2006

Due in part to a booth promotion that alerted NRA attendees to Victory's Blast-Chill Technology Center, both traffic and sales opportunities were markedly improved over last year's show, according to Jim Hurston, VP of Sales for the company.

"We definitely saw better volume and lead quality this year, not least because blast-chilling technology and equipment is now a clear focus of attention and a priority for operators and specifiers," Hurston pointed out. "That said, the greater interest shown by attendees in our blast chillers was matched by the attention drawn by the rest of Victory's exhibited line. There was quite a lot of people who came to our booth with the purpose of obtaining as much information as possible about our pizza tables, for instance."

Infinity Has A Show To Grow On At NRA 2006

At a show that yielded strong booth traffic and sales leads for all exhibiting brands of the Aga Foodservice Equipment division, Infinity fryers drew perhaps the greatest response from attendees, according to Mitch Cohen, AFE VP of Cooking Systems.

"We saw a huge amount of interest and traffic, both from operators and consultants," Cohen affirmed. "We were especially pleased by the number of chain personnel who came to our booth to inspect the Infinity equipment, as well as the increasing number of specifications we're receiving in noncommercial markets such as schools."

Stellar Continues To Ascend At NRA 2006

"For us at Stellar, the overall NRA show experience this year was a pleasant surprise," remarked Bob McLoughlin, the company's VP of Product Management. "This was our first year sharing a national-scale stage with our Aga Foodservice Equipment sister companies, and it was gratifying to see the amount of booth traffic and purchasing interest we received."

McLoughlin also noted that he spoke with "a lot more" decision-making operators than in recent years. "We're seeing more inflation now, and big spikes in fuel and energy prices, and that may have sent many end-users to NRA intent on finding the most cost-effective equipment suitable for their different programs' applications," he related. "We can say for sure that this year's show will lead to a number of good new orders during the next several quarters."

Eloma  Eloma Combis Make U.S. Debut At NRA 2006
After 30 years of market-leading performance and sales in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, Eloma's lines of combi ovens were introduced to the U.S. foodservice industry during last month's NRA Show. Bob McLoughlin, VP of Product Management for Eloma, noted that the company's Genius combi ovens' striking design drew as much notice from booth visitors as their boilerless technology and array of innovative features.

Much in evidence in the Eloma section of Aga Foodservice Equipment's NRA booth were chain restaurant personnel and independent restaurant owner/operators, many of whom came in for spontaneous meetings after viewing the Eloma combis' well-balanced proportions and compact footprints and stayed for discussions of their boilerless technology and energy- and water-saving capabilities. According to McLoughlin, the Eloma features that attracted the greatest interest among show-goers were the company's user-friendly Genius controls, the patented heat exchanger, precise humidity controls and AutoClean function. There was also considerable interest in the gas-fired Genius models that will be introduced later this year.
