Aga  AGA Continues To Build Brands, Sales In 2007

Over the past three years, Aga Foodservice Equipment has expanded its portfolio of companies operating in the United States to include Eloma combi ovens, Stellar Steam and Infinity Fryers. It should be no surprise, therefore, that one of AFE's primary goals coming into 2007 was to increase the name recognition and sales of these brands.

The company, according to Mark Whalen, AFE and Victory Refrigeration president, has taken several steps to accomplish these goals. It has partnered with new representatives for its products in selected U.S. areas, established test kitchens and other product-demo sites throughout the country, released new brand- and model-specific marketing materials, and placed advertising in selected industry publications and on trade magazine web sites.

Victory Refrigeration

Victory Working To Maintain Momentum

Victory Refrigeration came into 2007 seeking to build on the combined momentum of the above-projection sales and income growth it reported at the end of the previous year.

According to Mark Whalen, president of Victory and its parent company, Aga Foodservice Equipment, during the first half of the year the company has lived up to expectations in one of those areas, but has felt some pressure in the other. "We wanted to continue the positive trend that we established in '06 with growth in sales and operating income. So far, we've had good sales growth, but we've been whip-sawed a little bit by rising raw materials costs," he said.

Infinity Fryers

Infinity Targeting Energy-Aware Companies

Though it's well known globally, Infinity Fryers is still a relatively new company in the U.S. foodservice industry. The Aga Foodservice Equipment-owned manufacturer has been offering its products in the highly competitive North American market for only a little more than three years.

For that reason, furthering Infinity's recognition and brand acceptance in the United States has been one of the company's key goals for the first half of 2007, and will continue to be so for the rest of the year, according to Mitch Cohen, vice president of cooking system sales for Infinity Fryers, as well as Eloma and Stellar Steam.

Stellar, Eloma Lay Groundwork For Future Sales

For Aga Foodservice Equipment companies Eloma and Stellar Steam, 2007 has been a year to establish the infrastructure that will support sales and income growth in the months and years ahead.

During the first half of the year, the companies have beefed-up their manufacturer's representative networks and established ties with service agencies across the nation. In addition, AFE has added several locations where customers can see Eloma combi ovens and Stellar steamers, as well as Infinity-brand fryers, demonstrated live by the company's corporate chefs.
