Victory Expands Factory, Product Line in 2007

Victory Refrigeration entered 2007 determined to gain market share and successfully launch its new product lines. Its work in these areas paid off, with the company closing 2007 having earned additional share, as well as having generated traction for its new items.

The firm launched two new products in 2007: the glass door merchandiser, which Whalen describes as somewhat of a niche product; and the back bar line, which he said has the potential to develop into a significant part of the Victory portfolio due to its combination of value-line pricing with sleek design elements that make it competitive with many spec-line products.

Infinity Posts Across-the-Board Sales Growth

Infinity Fryers, an AFE company, recorded double-digit sales growth in 2007. According to Mitch Cohen, vice president of cooking system sales for Infinity, as well as for Eloma and Stellar Steam, the company achieved this growth by increasing sales in a variety of markets, including hotels, independent restaurants, schools and colleges/universities.

Though Infinity remains "a work in progress," said AFE president Mark Whalen, such a diversified customer base is a positive sign for the company.

Sales, Product Lines Grew in 2007 for Eloma, Stellar

The year 2007 was an overall success for AFE companies Eloma and Stellar Steam, according to Mitch Cohen, vice president of cooking system sales for the two manufacturers, as well as for Infinity Fryers.

On the product front, both companies introduced new lines in 2007. Stellar rolled out its fully portable Polaris catering steamer-a connectionless steamer that is fired by a 30-lb. propane tank and sits on a cart equipped with heavy-duty casters. Eloma introduced two lines over the course of the year: the countertop Joker combi oven, designed for smaller operations where space is at a premium; and the Multimax B series, which offers most of the features of the company's high-end Genius T line, but is equipped with a traditional knob-based control panel. Members of the foodservice industry greeted all three product lines with enthusiasm, Cohen stated.
